Get Found First is our name, PPC is our game. Clients come to us for ppc management services. They don’t want their online ad budget to go to waste, and they know that we have the expertise to yield them a significant return on investment. Over these last four years of managing online ad budgets, a question that I get asked a lot is,
“so…what else can I be doing? I am having success with PPC, but now I want to milk the web for all it is worth!”
Usually, I laugh and say something like,
“you aren’t even doing display ads!” and think to myself, “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”
After display ads through the search engine’s networks, it is time to try other “third tier” ad networks. The list of those is massive! There are guys who make all of their money off of nothing but those third tier ad networks. Amy Hoffman (follow her on Twitter for PPC info) put together a pretty sweet post, a little dated, but still really helpful with a Comparison of Third Tier Networks.
Don’t get me wrong, you need to be doing everything you can from day one to rank organically, but you should also start your paid strategy on day one. Why work hard for months to rank organically just to find out that your site, pricing, call to action, value propositions, all need to be changed? PPC ads helps you quickly make adjustments off of traffic as it comes in and you can see immediate results. After you have figured out all of the paid ad traffic mediums and seen what works and what doesn’t and you have your organic work under way, it is time to “milk the internet for all it is worth.” I love the cow on our website. I just named her Cami the Cash Cow.
Here is a list of 6 other mediums you can go to drive more traffic to your site and get more sales from your site:
That is just 6 things. The list above could really quickly become 600 things because within each thing on that list there could be 100 smaller steps you take to make those things happen. Anyway, I don’t need my list to be so exhaustive when someone else has already done the work. You can thank Oli Gardner for this one:
